We would like to express our outrage at the killing of two workers by
the Anzoategui Police in Venezuela. The workers were killed during an
attempt to evict them from the Mitsubishi Motor Company plant which they
had been occupying since January 20.<\/p>\n

This was a brutal and unjustified killing of unarmed workers who were
only trying to defend their jobs and livelihoods and who are part of the
Bolivarian revolutionary movement. Their only crime was to defend their
co-workers, subcontracted to Induservi, 135 of whom had been made
redundant in violation of the decree against mass lay-offs dictated by
the Bolivarian government of president Hugo Chávez.<\/p>\n

We demand that:<\/p>\n

     * there should be no more violence against the workers of MMC or
       any other group of workers in struggle, and that all legal
       action against them should be suspended.
     * that there should be a full enquiry to find out who gave the
       order to fire on unarmed workers and that those responsible be
       brought to justice.
     * that the governor of Anzoategui Tarek William Saab and the
       national government of President Hugo Chávez must make a public
       statement on this incident.<\/p>\n

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes de Suecia que está activa en el movimiento obrero y las manos fuera de Venezuela desea expresar su solidaridad con los trabajadores que participan en la lucha en la Mitshubitshi (MMC) en la planta de Anzoátegui, Venezuela. Esto es claramente un ataque a la revolución, ya que los trabajadores en lucha para salvar el empleo de colleauges existe, sino también para el adelanto de la revolución. Pensamos que es muy positivo que el gobernador de la región, Tarek William Saab, el ministro del Trabajo de Venezuela, Roberto Hernández y que el presidente Chávez han reaccionado y habló en contra de este ataque. Pero creemos que necesitamos más cosas por hacer en aras de la justicia y por el interés de la revolución, por lo tanto, exigimos lo siguiente:
• La renuncia del comandante de PoliAnzoategui y del secretario general de la gobernación Anzoátegui,
• Que los jueces y los directivos de MMC deben ser llevados ante la justicia
• Que las demandas de los trabajadores de MMC se deben cumplir
• Nacionalización bajo control obrero de Vivex <\/div>\n

Dear Regional Governor Saab and General Secretary Vega:<\/p>\n

I am writing in response to the inexcusable, pre-meditated murders of
two workers at the Mitsubishi (MMC) plant on Thursday, January 29,
2009, in Anzoategui, Venezuela.<\/p>\n

The three judges, Henry Gabián Dietrich, Lourdes Villarroel and Diana
Vásquez, who issued an order of eviction, along with the president of
the Mining and Energy Commission of the National Assembly, Angel
Rodriguez, and Regional Governor Tarek William Saab are all entirely
culpable and prosecutable for the planned executions.<\/p>\n

These judges, governor, and president failed to heed President
Chávez’s declaration in November that any company in violation of
workers’ rights should be taken over and nationalized. This is
*exactly* what the workers of MMC and Vivex did last Thursday, and
now, because of the intrasigence of these public and private
officials, two people’s lives have been needlessly, carelessly ended.<\/p>\n

The workers at the MMC plant had been occupying the premises since
January 20 after a decision was taken by a mass meeting of the
workers. The reason for the occupation was to demand the reinstatement
of 135 workers, working for the subcontractor Induservi, who had lost
their jobs after MMC rescinded the contract with Induservi. These
firings violate the decree on labor stability passed by President
Chavez to defend workers’ rights.<\/p>\n

As a consequence of the inexcusable and reprehensible actions of these
forementioned officials there will have to be consequences. I am in
solidarity with the demands for the commander of PoliAnzoategui and
the general secretary of the Anzoategui governorship to resign
immediately.<\/p>\n

The three judges, Henry Gabián Dietrich, Lourdes Villarroel and Diana
Vásquez, who issued an order of eviction, along with the president of
the Mining and Energy Commission of the National Assembly, Angel
Rodriguez, and Regional Governor Tarek William Saab, along with any
other judges and directors responsible for the eviction, must be tried
on the charges of the two murders.<\/p>\n

The still-unaddressed demands of the MMC and Vivex workers must be
approved and fulfilled because events around the worker occupation and
nationalization of the factories are obviously unresolved. You can
prevent further atrocities and punishable crimes *now* if you act.
This is an unignorable situation.<\/p>\n

Escribo para expresar mi indignacion ante el asesinato de dos trabajadores por la policia de Anzoategui.  Los trabajadores fueron asesinados mientras la policia intentaba botarlos de la Compañia Motores Mitsubishi, la cual estaban ocupando desde el 20 de enero.<\/p>\n

Estas muertes fueron brutales y sin justificacion, ya que los trabajadores no estaban armados y solo intentaban defender sus empleos, vivencia, y la revolucion bolivariana.  Su unico crimen fue defender sus compañer@s trabajadores, 135 que estaban bajo contrato con Induservi, pero que fueron despedidos en violacion del decreto en contra de los despidos en masa dictado por el gobierno bolivariano del presidente Hugo Chavez.<\/p>\n

El movimiento en solidaridad con los derechos de los trabajadores demanda:<\/p>\n

   * un alto a la violencia en contra de los trabajadores del MMC o cualquier otro grupo de trabajadores en pie de lucha, y alto a todo proceso legal en contra de ellos.
   * una investigacion profunda para descubrir quien dio la orden de fuego en contra de los trabajadores y que los responsables sean sentenciados ante la ley.
   * una declaracion publica sobre el incidente por parte del gobernador de Anzoategui Tarek William Saab y el gobierno nacional del presidente Hugo Chávez.<\/p>\n

¡Solidaridad con los trabajadores de Mitsubishi y la revolución venezolana!<\/p>\n

Nos hemos enterado que en la tarde del jueves 29 de enero dos trabajadores resultaron muertos por la policía del estado Anzoátegui, Venezuela. Sabemos que los dos trabajadores asesinados son Pedro Suárez, trabajador de Mitsubishi, y José Marcano, trabajador de la empresa autopartista Macusa. Ambos fueron muertos cuando la policía del estado Anzoátegui trataba de desalojar a cientos de trabajadores que habían ocupado la planta de Mitsubishi (MMC) el 22 de enero.<\/p>\n

El motivo del conflicto fue el despido por parte de la empresa de 135 trabajadores que trabajaban en la planta pero estaban contratados por la empresa Induservis. En una asamblea masiva, los trabajadores de Mitsubishi votaron por 863 a favor, 21 en contra y 4 abstenciones ocupar la fábrica para exigir la readmisión de todos los despedidos como parte de la plantilla de MMC. Los trabajadores de MMC también vincularon su lucha a los conflictos en las fábricas de Vivex, Franelas Gotcha, INAF y Acerven, que exigen su nacionalización bajo control obrero.<\/p>\n

Sabemos que el brutal ataque de la policía de Anzoátegui se produjo a petición de la juez Diana Vásquez que se presentó a ejecutar una orden de desalojo. Los trabajadores se negaron y la policía procedió a disparar con fuego real matando a dos trabajadores y dejando a otros heridos.<\/p>\n

Consideramos que la brutal acción del juez y de la policía es totalmente injustificada. La policía de Anzoátegui el año pasado también atacó a los trabajadores petroleros en lucha por su contratación colectiva y al no haber sido depurada en absoluto, la policía sigue siendo la misma que operaba antes de la revolución.<\/p>\n

Por lo anterior, los miembros de la Coordinadora de Redes Ciudadanas del Estado de Puebla, México, exigimos:<\/p>\n

1)      Alto inmediato de la violencia y las amenazas de desalojo contra los trabajadores de Mitsubishi.<\/p>\n

2)      El gobernador Tarek William Saab y el gobierno del presidente Chávez abran inmediatamente una investigación para llevar a los responsables de este brutal asesinato a juicio.<\/p>\n

3)      Respeto a la soberanía del pueblo venezolano.<\/p>\n

Señores: <\/p>\n

Sirva la presente para  hacerles llegar nuestra más enérgica protesta por la muerte de dos trabajadores desarmados a manos de la policía de Anzoategui, durante el intento de desalojo de la planta Mitsibushi, tomada por sus trabajadores desde hace una semana.<\/p>\n

Hemos tenido noticias de que estos trabajadores estaban defendiendo, junto con el resto de la plantilla, sus puestos de trabajo y  sus justas reivindicaciones laborales y las de sus compañeros subcontratados que habían sido despedidos en violación del decreto de inamovilidad laboral del gobierno bolivariano del presidente Hugo Chávez.<\/p>\n

Condenamos estos graves hechos y consideramos que no  pueden de ninguna manera quedar impunes. Pedimos al responsable de la policía de Anzoátegui,  gobernador Tarek William Saab, que ordene abrir una investigación exhaustiva para depurar todas las responsabilidades.  Un Estado bolivariano y socialista debe exigir la aclaración de quién dio la orden de disparar a los trabajadores con munición de fuego y ponerlos a disposición de la justicia.  En caso de que sigan existiendo elementos contrarrevolucionarios dentro de Poli-Anzoategui, es urgente proceder a su depuración después de años avances al socialismo.<\/p>\n

Queremos plantearles algunas peticiones con el ruego de que las hagan llevar al Gobierno de la República de Venezuela y si es posible, personalmente al Presidente Hugo Chávez.<\/p>\n

1) Pedimos el cese total del ejercicio de la violencia contra los trabajadores de MMC y demás trabajadores que luchan por sus puestos de trabajo y que sean suspendidas las acciones judiciales en su contra.<\/p>\n

2) Pedimos que se abra una investigación a fondo al objeto de averiguar quienes han sido los directos responsables, tanto por acción o por omisión, de las muertes de estos compañeros sindicalistas.<\/p>\n

3) Pedimos que sean atendidas, como corresponde a un Estado Bolivariano y Socialista al servicio de los trabajadores, las justas demandas de los trabajadores.<\/p>\n

4) Pedimos que el Gobierno Nacional y también la Gobernación de Anzoátegui,  se pronuncien sobre estos hechos luctuosos con la mayor urgencia.<\/p>\n

Como en otras ocasiones hemos planteado, queremos hacer constar nuestra solidaridad con el proceso tan esperanzador de transformaciones sociales, económicas y culturales que puedan permitir abrir las alamedas para transitar al Socialismo. <\/p>\n

Pour la réussite de la révolution et son progression il faut la destruction total de la bourgeoisie et  <\/span>l’écrasement de sa résistance, car la continuation de l’ancien régime constitue un danger majeur qui va saboté  <\/span>la révolution par toutes les moyennes qui sont au disposition des forces du capitalisme et de la réaction et de l’église. Pour mener à bien les tâches de la révolution on doit s’appuyer principalement sur les travailleurs d’usine, ils sont la force révolutionnaire consciente au sein de classe ouvrière, et avec le soutien d’autres opprimées, la révolution peut survivre et gagner… <\/p>\n

Je vous informe que la galaire est partout dans le monde, nous actuellement en dore peut ses derniers jours parcequ’ on soutien nos camarades de LYR  fabricant de sièges pour PSA et RENAULT ils occupent l’usine pour empêcher sa déloclisation.

  We have been informed by our comrades of CMR (Corriente Marxista Revolucionaria, Venezuelan section of the IMT), that the regional police of Anzoategui  state fired at the workers of the Mitsubishi factory, with live ammunition, killing two workers (Pedro Suarez from the Mitsubishi factory and José Marcano from Macusa factory) and wounding several more. <\/p>\n

   We strongly condemn this new brutal attack against the working class, which is not the first and certainly won’t be the last,. As long as the old capitalist state apparatus and the economic power of the oligarchy stay intact. This it is nothing more than a warning of what will happen if the bourgeoisie came to power again. <\/p>\n

  The decision of The Bolivarian governor of Anzoategui, Tarek William Saab, of suspending all police officers involved in the crime and handing them over to the prosecutor’s office, is correct and we welcome it, but it’s only a step in the right direction, we demand that not only those who fired the weapons should be involved, but also those who gave the orders! <\/p>\n

   We emphasize that the only way to prevent the occurrence of such crimes, is the destruction of the remnants of the bourgeoisie state and the expropriation of the capitalist’s property. <\/p>\n

   At last we want to send our condolences to the families of the two workers and their comrades and friends, and to tell them that the only way to revenge is to carry on the fight for the socialist transformation of society! <\/p>\n

We would like to express our outrage at the killing of two workers by the Anzoategui Police in Venezuela. The workers were killed during an attempt to evict them from the Mitsubishi Motor Company plant which they had been occupying since January 22.<\/p>\n

This was a brutal and unjustified killing of unarmed workers who were only trying to defend their jobs and livelihoods and who are part of the Bolivarian revolutionary movement. Their only crime was to defend their co-workers, subcontracted to Induservi, 135 of whom had been made redundant in violation of the decree against mass lay-offs dictated by the Bolivarian government of president Hugo Chávez. <\/p>\n

We demand that:<\/p>\n

– there should be no more violence against the workers of MMC or any other group of workers in struggle, and that all legal action against them should be suspended. <\/p>\n

– that there should be a full enquiry to find out who gave the order to fire on unarmed workers and that those responsible be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

– that the governor of Anzoategui Tarek William Saab and the national government of President Hugo Chávez must make a public statement on this incident.<\/p>\n

Long live the Bolivarian Revolution!<\/p>\n
